Official autopsy result not expected for several weeks, the death of Michael Jackson appears to be shrouded in even more mystery this morning. There are reports today that Jackson received an injection of a pain killer not long before died. But the doctor who administered the drug, has disappeared. Los Angeles police have impounded the doctor's car, saying it could be useful in determining the cause of the pop star's death.
The coroner investigating Michael Jackson's death has concluded his examination of the body and it's expected that a press conference will take place very soon.
While friends, family and fans are in mourning, there are two investigations underway into Jackson's death. One being conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department and the other the county coroner; both trying to establish what killed him. The autopsy and toxicology tests were completed today but it could be weeks, according to Ed Winter from the coroner's office, before the final verdict is delivered. A lot of the tests have to run its course, they are time consuming and and the doctors have got to study the result.
Los Angeles Police want to speak to Jackson's personal physician, a cardiologist, who has disappeared from the rented mansion where Jackson collapsed as a result of the suspected cardiac arrest.
A former family attorney, Brian Oxman said, "Even we don't know what Michael Jackson perished from, but I do fear if it was related to medications. I'm going to await the coroner's report and the autopsy, the toxicological report. And when that comes out I fear that I already know the answer and I will speak out very loud and very clear about what took place with medications in Michael Jackson's life".
